The aim of this project is to develop methods that will reduce the need for maintenance of switches and crossings (s&c), thereby bringing down traffic disturbances and life cycle Jens Nielsen has an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering and a PhD degree (1989) in Biochemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and after that established his independent research group and was appointed full Professor there in 1998. Jens Nielsen is the CEO of BioInnovation Institute, Copenhagen, Denmark and Professor of Systems Biology at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. He is Adjunct Professor at the Technical University of Denmark.
